General information

Lab technicians are given roles within our Research and Development laboratories and participate in conducting quality insurance tests on incoming raw materials and products.

Duration:	3 1/2 years ( can be shortened to 3 years)
Dual apprenticeship:	Apprenticeship both within the company as in a job specific training academy.

Tasks are as follows:

Conducting preparative organic synthesis
Conducting physic-chemical experiments and measurement procedures
Introducing means which contribute to environmental and work procedure safety
Documenting working procedures and results

Requirements

A successful candidate should:

have a secondary school qualification
enjoy practical laboratory work
be interested in science
be a team player

Apprenticeship plan

The programme begins with

Work safety and environmental protection
Introduction to lab basics: Proper usage of lab equipment and chemicals
Conduction of initial physical, analytical and preparative tasks.

Continuation

Conducting tests on raw materials and products
Practical work techniques
Analytical techniques
Complex preparative tasks

Events beyond the position

Introduction seminars for new apprenticess
Project work (e.g. editing our apprentice homepage)
Seminars
Courses (e.g. on subjects such as tariff and work law, structure and organisation of the company you work in and environmental protection)
