Pelikan in the Top Ten German growth brands

As one of the most successful brands in Germany, Pelikan has been nominated to the Top 10 for the best growth brand in the "best brands awards 2010"

 

During a gala at Bayerischer Hof in Munich on 11th February, the most successful brands in Germany were honoured with the "best brands award 2010". The special thing about this award is that it is not a jury that decides the winners, but the consumers themselves.

The nominated candidates are measured on the basis of two essential criteria: their actual economic market success and the popularity of their brand in the consumers' perception. The award is given in four categories: best product brand, best growth brand, best company brand and best sustainability brand. The long-established Pelikan company was nominated in the "Best growth brand" category; when it first took part in this ranking it won ninth position, and was thus able to successfully establish itself among the numerous brands in Germany.

"We are very proud that Pelikan got into the Top Ten best growth brands. With more than 1000 brands throughout Germany this is a remarkable achievement and a fantastic result", said Pelikan's European Sales and Marketing Director, Arno Alberty.

 

The German brand ranking "best brands" was created in 2004 by the GfK Group, the Serviceplan Group, the ProSiebenSat. 1 Group, WirtschaftsWoche, the Brand Association and iq media marketing. Since then, the best brands award has been presented annually. The aim of this award ceremony and the accompanying conference is to promote successful brand management in Germany.
