“red dot” for Pelikan Terceto
Pelikan convinces the jury at this year’s “red dot design award” with its innovative
Terceto text marker trio
Pelikan’s innovative Terceto text marker trio brings three times the colour to the desk: it comprises three mini text markers in the colours green, yellow and orange and a practical case. At the press of a button the mini text marker is ejected from its holder in the desired colour. This small innovation is handy, practical and fun – and has now received the “red dot design award 2010” international quality seal!
The red dot is a design quality seal accepted worldwide and highly prized in expert circles. In the "red dot design award" international design competition, outstanding design is chosen in various product categories by competent expert juries. With more than 12,000 applications from more than 60 nations, the “red dot design award” is one of the largest design competitions in the world.
This year, the stylish design of the Terceto caught attention in the competition: Pelikan deliberately does away with the neon colours typical of text markers in the exterior design. The barrel is available in discreet black with a white clip or in pure white with an orange clip. The laminated mini text markers are characterised by a high writing quality and are available in two different design motifs (“classic-dots” and “graffiti style”). The Terceto is thus available in diverse combinations of colours and motifs.
The “red dot design award 2010” award ceremony takes place on 5th July 2010. The online exhibition of this year’s prize-winner also starts on the same day.
