Pelikan expands its range of high quality writing implements again in autumn/winter 2009
Handwriting is a form of art. From autumn 2009, Pelikan is therefore offering all
"artists" a choice of even more individual writing implements for their next handwritten
letter, carefully personalised invitation or ceremonious signature.
The first to appear is the "M205 transparent light-blue", which is launched on 1st
August 2009. The special feature that makes the elegant M205 so covetable is the elegant
transparent blue housing, from which it takes its name. This is adorned with individual,
chrome metal embellishments. The chrome clip completes the visual effect.
The "M205 transparent light blue" is available in four different widths, in a gift
box with a glass inkpot for a price of just 95 €.
On 1st October 2009 the new edition from the exclusive Pelikan series "Seven World
Wonders" will appear - the "Hanging Gardens" Limited Edition. This series began in
2004 with the Pyramid of Giza. This was followed in subsequent years by the Colossus
of Rhodes, the Temple of Artemis and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, so that the "Hanging
Gardens" will go down in Pelikan's history as the fifth wonder. Collectors throughout
the world are already waiting to complete their series. The "Hanging Gardens" fountain
pen is characterised by an exceptionally high quality lacquer with several layers.
The brass cap, plated with 24-carat gold, features an elaborately designed laser engraving
with floral motifs. Both the gold-plated brass clip and the 18-carat rhodium nib are
also embellished by carefully detailed engraving.
The "Hanging Gardens" Limited Edition, comprising just 410 pieces, is available with
three different nib sizes, for a price of 2950 €.
On 1st November 2009 the glamorous "Silver Screen" Limited Edition will join Pelikan's
range of high quality writing implements. The name "Silver Screen", or big screen,
comes from the fact that this writing implement is heavily influenced by the "Stars
and starlets" for which Hollywood is famous: The fountain pen, which will be available
in the colour combination black/silver and features sophisticated details. The black
housing is decorated with silver stars, with a majestic red ruby in the centre. Above
the nib, the housing features a decorative film strip made of real celluloid, and
the pure Sterling silver cap is embellished with the Pelikan logo. The rhodanized
nib is available in width M.
The "Silver Screen" limited edition will be available for a price of 1950 €.
This is followed on 1st November 2009 by the "Indian Summer" Special Edition. After
the "Niagara Falls" and "Sahara" editions in 2007 and "Polar Lights" and "Mount Everest"
in 2008, the company is releasing the "Indian Summer" Special Edition from the Pelikan
series "Natural phenomena" this year.
Both the fountain pen and the ballpoint pen and rollerball in this edition feature
a multilayered, polished lacquer and harmoniously colour-coordinated laser embellishments
in a leaf pattern. The fountain pen's 18-carat rhodium nib is available in three widths.
The "Indian Summer" Special Edition will be available for a price of 390 € for the
fountain pen, and 290 € for the ballpoint pen and rollerball.
The "Toledo M 710 red" will also be launched in Germany on 1st November 2009. This
is the smaller version of the tried and tested original Toledo. The high-grade upper
is the same attractive shade of red as its successful predecessor model, the M 910.
Each Toledo is a unique piece, featuring a motif with handcrafted details. Because
of this elaborate handcrafting, a maximum of 200 implements can be produced per month.
Anyone who owns a Toledo also owns a small work of art in its own right! This lovingly
crafted fountain pen with 18 carat gold nib is supplied in a high quality wood gift
package together with booklet, making it the perfect Christmas or pre-Christmas gift.
The "Toledo M 710 red" will be available for a price of 790 €.
