Design experts honour Xycle in the red dot award: product design 2009
In one of the most renowned and toughest international design competitions, the red
dot design award, Pelikan's Xycle has been awarded an "honourable mention" by the
jury of high-calibre experts. With more than 3200 products from 49 countries entered
in the competition, this clearly sets Xcyle apart from the crowd. The design experts
awarded an honourable mention to products that excel through particularly successful
detail solutions. The prize-giving ceremony will take place before more than 1000
guests on 29th June 2009 in the Essen opera house, the Aalto Theatre.
The new generation of correction rollers
The Xycle ultra-modern sideway roller satisfies the highest customer requirements.
Its unusual design in the trend colour white and its ergonomic shape make the Xycle
an attention-grabber in any office. Thanks to the innovative finger grip, the Xycle
lies very comfortably in your hand and glides easily across any type of paper. It
is suitable for both right-handers and left-handers and is particularly eco-friendly,
thanks to the omission of solvents. With its range of 8 m, it is the ideal companion
both in the office and for travelling.
The products submitted for the red dot design award are judged by an international
jury of renowned design experts. They assess and test the products and judge them
according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomy, durability
and ecological compatibility. This year, companies from 49 countries submitted a total
of 3231 products for the jury's verdict.
