Practical handwriting: For the left-handed
It is very important to never force or refrain your child to write with his right hand. Minority complexes, fear and physical disabilities can be the result of such actions. In cases of being left-handed, it is best to by the suitable school supplies. This not only involves a left-handed scissors, but many other things such as a school fountain pen e.g. a Pelikano (further information).
Pelikan has developed special school fountain pens for the left-handed: the Pelikano
and the Pelikano Junior. The format of handwriting is more suited to the writing technique
of the right-handed as we write from left to right. Letters are brought to paper using
a drawing movement. The left-handed use a pushing movement.
The Pelikano and the Pelikano Junior support this method of writing due to the special
form of the tip / gripping area on the model for the left-handed. The left-handed
writer should grip the pen slightly lower so it is easier to see the written letters.
In a way its the same writing technique, just the other way around.
