Nativity Stars

Sometimes it is difficult to find something easy for young children to make at Christmas. This is why Teachers' Info of offering you this colourful window decoration. With just a little effort, surprisingly innovative motifs can be made to give your windows a festive glow.

This is what you need:

Transparent paper, coloured paper, Pelikan Wonderliners, Pelifix glue stick, nylon thread, and scissors.

  1. Firstly, print out the download with template for the stars and the transparent paper.
  2. Transfer the stars on to the coloured paper, for example, Pelikan rainbow card. Make more than one star and use paper of various colours – the effect will absolutely glorious.
  3. Cut out the template for the transparent paper and use this to cut out the centre pieces for each star. A variation would be to use more than one centre pieces which overlap.
  4. Fix the transparent paper in the middle of the star with the glue stick.
  5. Draw your own pattern directly on to the transparent paper using the Pelikan Wonderliners. The colours can be combined very prettily. Here are a few examples to help you in your design. Make a hole in one of the points and put a nylon thread of approx. 20 cm in length through. Knot the thread at the ends.
