Wonderful ensemble: Santa Claus and Christmas tree

The crafting idea "Santa Claus and Christmas tree" is based on a simple crafting template that can be used many times anew.

This is what you need:

Pelikan download template, colored folding paper approx. 15x15 cm (also Pelikan rainbow paper), a Pelikan fineliner, a pair of scissors and some glue.

It's as easy as this:

1. First, fold the following basic shape.
2. For Santa use red, for the tree different shades of green (shorten the folding paper stepwise to the tip, 1 cm at a time on both sides).

First, fold the paper twice in the middle.

Then fold it together with the open side facing downward. The right corner is folded to the back, the left corner to the front.

Push the opening to the outside until the tips touch each other. Press the created square together tightly.

Then fold the outer ends to the center, turn the paper around and repeat this step with the two remaining ends.

Now your paper should have the shape of a kite. Finally, cut off the bottom tips with a pair of scissors. The basic shape is now completed and can be decorated many different ways.

3. After having finished the basic shape of the Santa Claus, cut out the tip of the hat, the brim of his hat and his beard from a piece of white paper (you might want to use our download template).

4. Now, cut out the boots from the white paper, as well, and color them black using a black marker. Alternatively, you can make them directly out of black colored paper. Apply glue to the gray area of the boot download template and glue it from the inside to the bottom edge of Santa.

5. Finally, draw Santa's eyes using a black fineliner.

Left: The beard, the brim and the tip of the hat are glued on. The boots are attached to the bottom edge with glue.

For the Christmas tree, different basic shapes are needed that gradually become narrower to the top. Additionally, different shades of green can be used for each tree section. It will make the Christmas tree look even more natural and more beautiful. Next, the single elements of the tree are stacked on top of each other and can be glued together, if desired.

Now, both Santa and the Christmas tree are completed and can be used as a table decoration or as a small gift.

Together, the paper Santa Claus and the tree make a wonderful ensemble and are easy to craft.
