Halloween-style

This simple spinning top certainly packs a punch! Actually it’s only a piece of cardboard that is colored with the Pelikan fiber-tip pens Colorella duo or crayons. But we’ve come up with a special idea for the axle: A marble is spinning in the middle.

Marble spinning top

This simple spinning top certainly packs a punch! Actually it’s only a piece of cardboard that is colored with the Pelikan fiber-tip pens Colorella duo or crayons. But we’ve come up with a special idea for the axle: A marble is spinning in the middle.

This is how it’s made:

Print out the download template and glue it on a piece of hard cardboard. Cut out the spinning top and the two small red circles. Adjust the size of the blue circle in the middle to the size of your marble with your pair of scissors. Glue the marble to the middle of the circle.

Blank template for your own design: Cut out the blue and red circles.

The download template can be colored as you like. You can also print out our Halloween template and color it in orange.

Start the spinning top

After building the spinning top together and setting the marble in the middle, your spinning top is ready to go. Set the spinning top on an even and smooth surface. Put your thumb and pointer finger in the holes on both sides of the marble. Quickly spin the marble and take your hand away. Tip: A colorful and diverse design, e. g. with fiber-tip pens or crayons, will let your spinning top look even more colorful when it’s spinning.
