Your ideas: A journal for drawings

An idea by Robert Weiß, Vienna

A journal for drawings can help children conserve ideas.

Journals for drawings can be looked at from different perspectives and be different in many ways. The following image shows the journal of Nina.

But journals for drawing can also be made by children. Every day a double page is colored with something funny or a funny thought written in it or you can glue something in. It would make sense to link the picture to the day the child has spent. It’s fun and gives the parents and children precious time together, away from TV and radio. Even many years later you can look at these journals together happily.

Your own journal for drawings in few steps:

Take a sheet of paper in the size DINA 4 (=21cmx29,7cm) and fold it lengthwise in the middle. Tip: the paper should be something special, maybe self-made.

Cut the paper across in the middle. Repeat this step with as many pages as needed. Glue the pages on top of each other along the folding lines.

Finally, you can sew the journal together along the side of the book. Use bast for string. It will give the book an even more interesting look!
