Learn from your mistakes

Making mistakes is part of the learning process. Your child will not benefit if you always make him or her aware of the mistakes and force him or her to practice until he or she gets it right. Not only do children make mistakes - sometimes their parents make them as well. Children usually have great sense and will ask questions as soon as certain things seem unclear to them. It is in such situations that the child expects a parent's assistance and assurance. The more a child is praised for even the smallest progress, the more he or she learns to deal with mistakes. Motivate your children to recognise their mistakes and want to correct them.
