All-purpose angel

This angel is a real sensation. Despite its simple construction, it offers many different application possibilities: It can be used as a nice Christmas decoration in general, it can show the name of its owner as a place card on the table and it can even be hung up on the Christmas tree. By unfolding the angel, you can even deposit little gifts inside. There are many ways to use this lovable angel and it looks devilish good, too!

This is what you need:

Download templates, 15cm x 15cm colored folding paper (alternatively Pelikan rainbow paper), Wonderliners (silver, red, pink and green) Pelikan Fineliner (black), a pair of scissors, a roll of thread and some glue.

Look how different the angels can be used: As table decorations, as name tags on gifts or as Christmas tree ornaments – anything is possible.

This is how it works:

1. First, print out the download templates and cut the parts out.

2. This is how to fold the angel out of a rectangular shaped piece of folding paper:

First fold the piece of paper in half from both sides.

Fold the paper closed with the opening facing downwards. Fold the top right corner to the middle line on the front and the left corner to the middle line on the backside.

Now you have a triangle. Press the two outside corners of the triangle together so that the points meet each other. Now you should have a square. Fold the edges of the square sharp.

Fold the outer corners to the middle line, and then turn the square around. Repeat this step for the other two outer corners, as well.

Now the paper should look like a kite. Finally, cut off the bottom corner using a pair of scissors. The basic shape of the angel is now completed and is ready to be decorated.

  1. Glue the round head to the top point using the glue.
  1. Choose a pair of wings and glue them onto the backside of the angel, so that the gluing lash is wrapped around the edge of the paper.
  1. Color your angel with Wonderliners: Accentuate by making dots, create your individual design or let yourself be inspired by our templates.
  1. If you like to use the angel as a present box simply fold the sides open so that it has the shape of a pyramid.
  1. By tying a piece of thread onto the head of the angel, it can also be used as a Christmas tree ornament.
  1. Do you need place cards? No problem: Slide the inscribed “inlay” of the download template into the belly of the angel and fold the corners to the outside, so that the name tag can be read.
