This is what you will need:

  • Somewhat stronger paper (must resist a certain amount of pressure)
  • Scissors
  • Thread or a rubber band
  • Pelikan opaque water colours, a paintbrush and some water

This is how it is done:

1. Select a mask and print it out.

2. Hold the mask in front of your face and mark the spots where the holes for the eyes will be required. These areas will later be cut out. The holes should be approx. the same size as the ones on the print out.

3. Now the mask is painted. Select your favourite colours from the Pelikan water colour paint box. All of the colours are easily mixed and combined. If you want to mix a specific colour, try it out first on our online water colour paint box. Here you can determine the specific amount to mix the desired colour and then recreate.

4. Make the holes on the side of the mask either by piercing with the scissors or by using a page-puncher. The rubber band is then attached to the holes.

So sitzt die Maske richtig!

This is how the mask should be fitted. The rubber band shouldn't be tightened too loosely.

By the way: Halloween mask are rare occasion were "the uglier the better" actually counts.
