The new creatures of the air are easy to make: cut out, paint and stick together - and you're done. Teach the creature how to fly and hang it in a special place. In the next issues of Teachers' Info we shall be presenting you with further wonderful creatures. These animals are fun to make and, because they are easy to put together, they are also suitable for children.

Instructions

1.Cut out

Carefully cut out both the elephants from the downloaded sheets.
2.Glue

Fix a pull thread of approx. 10 cm length to the indicated spot and glue the 2 body parts together (not the wings).
3.Paint

Sharply fold the wings along the dashed lines and paint as desired.
4.Suspend

Fold the thread in half. Using a needle, thread the ends through the marked spots in the topside of the wings and fix. Tie a knot approx. 7 cm above the wings. To finish, thread the bead on to the pull thread and tie a knot.
5.Take off

This is how the elephant flies: Hold the elephant as shown on the drawing, pull on the bead and the elephant starts to move with a gentle flap of its wings.
