Maki-e is an art of Japanese lacquer painting known for its beautiful and artistic work. The work combines the craftsmanship of Pelikan Germany with nearly 170 years of tradition and technology, and Japanese superior Maki-e techniques renowned the world over. The Pelikan logo on the crown, limited edition number and artist’s signature are drawn in by hand with Maki-e techniques on each Pelikan Maki-e limited edition fountain pen.
