Stone masks you can wear

This month we yet again have a "stone of the month". In addition to this we also offer a stone mask. This can easily be painted using Pelikan opaque colours. This makes the contours of the mask appear quite vivid.

This is how it's done:

  1. Firstly, click on the mask, save it on your computer and then print it out.
  2. After this, hold the mask in front of your face and mark where the eyes are later to be. These markings will later be cut, creating holes to see through. The holes should be placed close to the suggested eye areas of the printout.
  3. Now the Pelikan opaque water colours are thinly applied to the mask. Select some of your favourite colours. The colours are mixed using plenty of water and then carefully applied. This technique lets the background design shine through, i.e. the stone picture remains intact. Then the mask can be cut out.
  4. Create the holes on the side of the mask either with a scissors or with a page-puncher. This is where the rubber band is attached.

The knot on the band should not be tied too loosely, otherwise the mask won't fit properly.

We hope you enjoy!
