Cyan-Blue is Pelikan´s colour of the season. This time we are featuring a primary colour. In total their are three of these in the circle of colour: Cyan-Blue, Yellow and Red. Primary colours cannot be mixed using other colours, but can be mixed to create all of the other colours! It is easy to tell: Cyan-Blues complementary colour is Red-Orange. Both of these colours are directly across from each other on the circle of colour and therefore create a complementary contrast.

Cyan-Blue, together with yellow and red, is a necessary colour to successfully mix green and purple. This is why these primary colours are an essential detail included in Pelikan opaque painting sets.
