Colorful Easter hens for one lesson

Our colorful Easter hens look good and can be made in one lesson!

Our colorful Easter hens are very decorative, are easy to craft and can be made in a short period of time. Due to their simple structure, the colorful Easter hens can be made in different sizes and therefore serve as a nice decoration for any Easter table. Tip: When tagged with a name, the Easter hens can also be used as name signs.

This is what you need:
Our download templates (hen large Ø 65mm and small Ø 55mm), color either white colored paper with colored pencils or use red, yellow and white colored paper to print out the pieces, scissors and a Pelifix glue stick.

It's as easy as this:

  1. Print out the downloaded templates on a white piece of cardboard paper - alternatively, you can also print out the templates on colored paper (see above) or you can print out the downloaded templates on regular paper and copy them onto white cardboard paper.
  2. Cut out all single parts and color them (when having used white paper) with colored pencils, e. g. in orange (beak and feathers) and red (comb and legs). Cut into the body of the hen (circle shape) along the given marks and fold them to the middle (see markings).

Finishing the Easter Hen

  1. In general: All parts of the Easter hen are glued between the body. This way, the chicken can be admired from both sides!
    • To 1. + 2.: First, glue on the comb, the beak and the feathers. The image below shows how the feathers are glued between the two body halves.
    • To 3.: The feet of the Easter hen are glued on from the inside along the bottom edge of each of the body halves. This way it is possible to fold the legs apart, so that the hen can stand alone.
    • To 4.: Finally, glue the two wings centrically on the sides of the hen's body. You can vary your style by making either straight wings (see white hen) or curved wings (see yellow hen).

The feet and feathers of the Easter hen are glued on the inside, the wings on the outside.
