Watch bottle caps become Frogs

It is easy to make little Frogs out of bottle caps. One can view them as the "little brothers" of the leaping Frogs (see last header), with the exception that they cannot leap. In this case, many exciting variations can be created depending on the method used.

Make Frogs using bottle caps

This is how to make your own bottle cap Frog:

  1. The collected bottle caps are painted Green. Pelikan PLAKA colours are ideal because they paint well on slippery surfaces.
  2. The felt tongue can be cut using the following design:
  3. Now stick the tongue on a bottle cap.

  1. To create the Frogs feet, use the design pictured below to cut out with felt material.
  2. Different methods can be used to stick two bottle caps together:
  • Heated adhesive
  • Wax
  • Forming dough

The important thing to remember while sticking is, that the mouth opening is not to be too wide!

  1. Now the toy eyes are added (an alternative would be to use either small stones or buttons). With glue (or a heated adhesive) the eyes are best fitted, although forming dough would be a safer alternative.
  2. When creating many Frogs one can use different colours to paint the bottle tops, tongues and feet.
