Structuring free time
Planning the free time of your child

Leisure time is important for a healthy development of your child, physically as well as mentally.

Structuring free time

Your child should have sufficient free time at his disposal for a healthy physical and mental development. Particularly doing sports provides children the opportunity to reduce aggressions and to increase the ability to concentrate. Sports club activities make sense for children, however, it should not become stressful leisure. Structure the day with your child. This way your child will learn to do his chores and will see how reasonable leisure time can be structured.

Children should not watch too much TV on a daily base. On the other hand, a ban on watching TV will make television even more interesting. Watch TV together with your child. This way you will be able to talk about what is happening on TV and explain to him/her the things he/she might not understand. This is also a good way to find out whether or not a TV show is appropriate for children.
